Item #: 16214
Format Type: LP & 12" Vinyl
Main Artist: PINK FLOYD
Title: Saucerful Of Secrets
Label: Odeon
Description: PSCX 6258. Mega rare 1968 black label stereo original UK LP issued for export to Japan and South America. Both the first and second Pink Floyd albums as well as the soundtrack to "More" were pressed as Odeon exports in the UK and they are probably the world's rarest Floyd releases. Only a few copies of each are known to exist. A near mint copy of "Piper at The Gates Of Dawn" was sold in Japan for over $13,000. Cover is the standard laminated flipback Columbia issue, but with a gold foil Odeon sticker on the back. Matrix numbers are YAX 3633-1 / YAX 3634-1, as any original UK Columbia issue. Stamper codes are "R" and "A", which are also in the trail-off area. The label design is the same as the scarce Beatles Yellow Submarine UK export LP, but this Pink Floyd LP is much much rarer. This has recently been documented on Vernon Fitch's amazing website www.pinkfloydarchives.com. Very tiny tear in label near playhole on side one. A beautiful condition copy of one of the scarcest Floyd records out there!
